Headmaster Dr Mike Walker, comments“I am delighted at these results which have sustained the academic achievements of the school, and are a tribute to the hard work of all of our students, in close collaboration with teaching staff.  We have seen excellent achievement resulting in the securing of places at top universities and at the same time we can boast in Max Malins of the Captain of the England U18 Rugby side against South Africa this summer, as well as a range of other exceptional achievements as diverse as a National Princess Diana Award for charity work, four students achieving MENSA membership, six students winning through to the National rounds of the UK Maths Challenge, a top six placing for a team of three students in a Global Entrepreneurial Challenge, National Finalists in the Coca Cola Real Business Challenge, the Byte Design and Technology Competition, and the Schools’ Show Jumping Competition – as well as many other sporting, musical and acting successes.

In all, 160 students at Felsted have performed at or above the equivalent of National Quarter Final level and it is a great tribute to them that they have balanced excellent academic achievement with such a high level of performance elsewhere too.”

AS results were also comparable to the excellent achievement of previous years, with the pass rate further enhanced.  Here again, particular subjects saw outstanding achievement, with Latin, Further Maths and Theatre Studies achieving 100% A-B grades, and History 73% A-B grades.
