Artsmark Gold has been awarded to Felsted School for its commitment to, and excellence in, arts and cultural education.
The award is recognition of Felsted’s current emphasis on Art, Music, Drama, Design Technology and Dance, as well as many other creative aspects of the curriculum. As one of those ‘21st Century Learner’ skills which is highly prized across different professions,
Felsted will continue to place the Arts and Creativity at the centre of its curriculum.
Artsmark is Arts Council England’s flagship programme which enables schools and other organisations to evaluate, strengthen and celebrate their arts and cultural provision. Artsmark is delivered by Trinity College London.
Felsted Headmaster, Dr Mike Walker commented; “We are thrilled that the great efforts made by our creative staff have led to Felsted being awarded Artsmark Gold. This is difficult to achieve and a highly prestigious status possessed by only a few schools across the country”.
