Hugh Pym, BBC Health Editor visited Felsted last Saturday (10/01/2015) to speak to Sixth Form Business Studies, Economics, Politics and Geography students. They were very excited to have the opportunity to interview a leading BBC journalist and ask questions about the critical issues in the UK today.
Hugh’s talk covered the economy, the NHS and the May General Election. On the NHS Hugh suggested that paperless prescriptions can increase efficiency, in relation the students learnt that two Chinese factories thrive on supplying the NHS with the fax machines needed to manage prescriptions. The pupils enthusiastically asked questions, and left the talk feeling very motivated.
Deputy Head Chris Townsend said, “We were delighted to welcome Hugh Pym to Felsted; a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to gain an insight into the critical issues that shape the country”.
