Felsted gained a new boarding house this term, as Follyfield girls moved into their modern and spacious new facility.

The House has spacious common rooms, a well-equipped kitchen plus study and relaxation areas. Designed by Architects, Barnsley Hewett and Mallinson, and built by Jarvis Contracting Ltd, Follyfield House can accommodate 62 girls in a variety of rooms, with Year 11s and 12s each having individual rooms. A large open plan common room on the ground floor contains a spacious kitchen area and a separate Sixth Form common room. An open atrium spans three floors of the building, from which kitchenette common rooms on the first and second floor take full advantage of. There is also residential accommodation for the Housemistress, Assistant Housemistress and Resident Tutor.
The building is designed to be environmentally friendly and with underfloor heating connected to an air source heat pump. It also features state of the art security systems to control access.
