Felsted pupil Rebecca Earl, has been selected for the England U16 National Golf Squad. Rebecca won the North of England U14 Golf competition earlier this year at South Moor golf club near Durham.
The Bishop’s Stortford Golf Club member currently plays off a handicap of five.
Rebecca, as a Sports Scholar at Felsted School, receives a tailored sporting programme to help her reach her potential, including time to train and attend matches.
Rebecca says “Representing the England U16s is a key pathway towards joining the European Pro Tour and turning professional. The next stage is joining the U18 squad. My ambition is to become a professional golfer.”
Rebecca is yet to represent England in an international fixture, but is scheduled to play in a regional fixture between the East, South-East and Southern regions. Rebecca also plays netball and hockey and is currently in her first year of GCSE study at Felsted School.
