Felsted School claimed the winning title at the English Speaking Union (ESU) Sixth Form Regional Public Speaking Competition. The team consisted of Lower Sixth students Harry Raffan, Bethan Hudson-Lund from and William Barker.

Felsted’s talented public speakers were up against four top teams from Cambridge, Chelmsford and Colchester, including King Edward VI Grammar School and Colchester High School for Girls. With twenty minutes to prepare their presentations, the three Felsted students impressed judges with their confidence and preparation, taking home prizes for Best Speaker and Best Chair, as well as Overall Winner.
The standard of the competition was exceptionally high, giving us a fantastic opportunity to develop and use skills that will be invaluable in later life.
Felsted’s Harry Raffan, who won the title of Best Speaker.
